A December Afternoon

It’s 3:38 PM and I’m sitting at my work desk like usual, waiting for files from our Creatives counterpart which I will be turning over to one of our media partners for publishing. It’s a typical working day, only I’m feeling giddy — there’s something about December afternoons that make everything bearable, some light that make you see the silver lining in all this busy-busy-hectic-hectic same old routine. The Christmas high is real, and with my favorite JoJo’s version of the classic The Christmas Song playing on loop in my background, waiting for clock out don’t feel like a chore as it normally would.

The 00:01:48 mark wakes up my sleeping nerves and munching on this Auro 55% Dark Chocolate with Arabica Coffee is just the right complement to the situation. Can’t wait for the actual holiday break and spend more time with people who matter to me, and eat more, more food. I just love imagining the scene of laughing with friends and family in red outfits by the tree!

For the nth time, I’m asking myself — can I get a pinch of Jo’s vocal prowess because damn the girl’s killing it! She have always been! Fangirling since 2003, since we were thirteen! Giving myself a pat on the back for being able to control my humming, not bursting my singing along in full power is not really an easy feat I must say, and at my work desk l o l

It’s now 5:28 PM and the files I’ve been waiting for have been sent to the media partner 44 minutes ago. Now let’s wait for the clock out!
