Fully Vaxxed

I meant it when I said that the best news I could share probably for the whole year would be that finally, after the very long wait and many tries — I am now fully vaccinated!

So, so ecstatic about this and I’m very grateful for how it turned out for me. I’ve been wanting to get a schedule ever since the roll-out started but it had not been very easy. Signed up with our LGU’s online registration site last April but haven’t heard from them since. My company, on the other hand, announced that they arranged for the entire organization’s vaccination but since we are under the private sector, delivery of the vaccines are on queue and timelines remain to be indefinite. But they really do care and I really, really appreciate the things the management has been doing for us even from the distance — to address the delay, they partnered with the Makati LGU to allow us to sign up under A4! Grabbed this opportunity the moment we were notified and 2 days after, already received a text message regarding my schedule! BAKUNAMKT instantly became the most precious sender in my Inbox lol

I was so thrilled all I felt was excitement because fina-freakingly!

Thank you Mayora Abby for acknowledging that I’m a true Makatizen at heart, the text messages didn’t make me feel adopted at all l o l

Just have to say that rallying to get people vaccinated is an act of help, but let’s also recognize that not all unvaccinated people are choosing to remain as they are — a lot have been lining up for so long it’s just that it’s the availability and the level of priority that are getting in the way.

And also, being fully vaccinated is not synonymous to immunity. As much as we want to hope that vaccines work like potions the way we see them on movies and series, that’s just not the case.

Continue to stay safe and strong.

Never ending thank you, front liners!
