Day 57

Can’t remember anything remarkable I did the whole weekend other than sleeping my butt off l o l. It could be I lack sleep that much or that I just didn’t have the will to pour out energy to move outside my bed. Either way, I can still say that weekend was well spent though!

Seeing Ang Huling El Bimbo The Musical on Friday night made me stay up until almost six in the morning of Saturday, because after crying my heart out, soaking myself to the music of Eraserheads was the best and only thing to do.

I was still too young when they were flying on the airwaves but their music has always been so iconic. My favorites are of course the popular ones — Ang Huling El Bimbo, Alapaap and Ligaya, among others. I could go on but these make me feel like it’s easy to just sing along to what life throws at you, or just life itself. It must be so nice to have deeper consciousness during their heydays, no? But I’m glad that there are lots of stories to find about them on the internet, and that I could listen to them for as long as I want.

Also, can I just say — Ely Buendia’s writing skills are the bomb! I mean l o l sure they are, that’s what served us the unforgettable music we’re still crazy about until today but gosh I stalked his Instagram account and his entries there were all pulled straight from the heart!

Just glad that Full House Theatre has made the musical accessible to anyone even just for 48 hours, and for a good cause at that! The show was so good I hope there will be more plays available for streaming online in the coming days!
