Five days at the beach basically meant five days of eating, swimming and strolling. It was probably the chillest vacations we’ve had in a while (we’ve always been chill, no fuss tourists) — but chill as in total bum, no plans, at all.
Baler has always offered delicious food and we’re happy to have tasted them again. And since we stayed longer, we had all the time to discover and try more. Their coffee scene is growing and we’re surprised to see more variety a couple of years later. Charlie Does still remains to be my favorite when it comes to iced mocha though!
Considering the magic that is paco as the best discovery for this trip! We’re no healthy eaters but for some reason our taste buds opted to inject some greens to our meals. I’m a sucker for anything spring rolls and seeing paco in one of the menus made us curious. Got blown away with how good it was we needed to get another cup of rice oops. All the succeeding meals came with paco from then on and how I wish I could eat one for lunch right now l o l
Another favorite is the quaint The Good Food, which indeed, as the name suggests, G-O-O-D. For less than a hundred, you’d be able to taste a beef taco as good as what you’re paying for double the price in Manila! Their quesadillas and other rice meals were good too but the pork liempo and beef taco topped our list!
We saw our first outdoor movie screening at the beach as well, and it was such an amazing experience! It was so fun I actually don’t remember what movie that was, I just know that their tuna kinilaw was soaked in a dreamy vinegar mixture it was hard to stop drinking l o l. Not kidding though!
Aaaahh, the life! Absolutely getting why some people choose to move from the city!
